Chris Hughes made his girlfriend JoJo Siwa break down in tears of happiness on Thursday when he made a surprise comment about her appearance.

The former Love Islander, 32, found love with the singer, 22, on Celebrity Big Brother earlier this year – shocking fans with their unlikely romance.

In a video shared to Instagram, JoJo explained how Chris left her crying after saying how nice her hair looked after years of feeling insecure over her hairline.

In 2022, the singer revealed how she had been left with a bald spot caused by the ‘stress’ of filming reality show Dance Moms as a child.

Sharing a video as she hugged Chris, JoJo wrote: ‘He had no idea of the 2017-2020 hairline memes, that I’m not affected by on the daily anymore, but him saying this out of thin air literally finished healing a part of me.

‘It’s almost like I had a band aid over it for the last 8 years and just was leaving it there scared to look under it to see if it’s healed and he removed it being like why do u have this on before I could even explain what it was.’

she added: ‘Lucky lucky girl I am. Don’t even think I realize how lucky sometimes

JoJo previously admitted during a TikTok video that she had developed a bald spot caused by the ‘stress’ of filming reality show Dance Moms as a child.

She took to the video-sharing app to open up about her hair loss after fans began to notice a bald spot at her hairline.

After acknowledging their comments, JoJo went on to set the record straight about exactly what sparked her hair loss, revealing that it was caused by a ‘stress rash’ that she developed while filming the popular Lifetime show.

‘Stress rash on my head when I was on Dance Moms led to no more hair there,’ she captioned the clip.

When one fan questioned whether the spot was due to Siwa wearing her signature ‘tight pony tails,’ the So You Think You Can Dance judge clarified in another clip: ‘I figured I would just explain this. So no, it’s actually not from the ponytails.’

The reality star, born Joelle Joanie Siwa, launched her career aged nine when she became a top five finalist in Lifetime’s dance show, Abby’s Ultimate Dance competition.

The hit series was a spin-off of the successful series Dance Moms starring Abby Lee Miller, and soon the tween was signed on to star in seasons five and six of the hit Lifetime series after she turned 11.

‘We both come from extremely loving families and very wholesome families who care for you so it would be nice to reciprocate that going forward

‘One day I’d love to have children, it would be an absolute dream for sure.’

It comes after Chris revealed the nickname JoJo has for his private parts in a shocking X-rated confession.

The star told E! News this week in a new interview: ‘She calls my balls Jimmy and Timmy. So she must like Jimmy and Timmy,’ adding that she loves ‘the rhyming lingo.’

He also sweetly described JoJo as the ‘love of his life’ in the chat after confirming they were officially in a relationship last month.

Chris said: ‘She’s literally the love of my life, but she’s also my best friend. Like, we sit and do nothing together.’

He also explained that the pair only formally had their first date together recently as they prefer to spend time in each other’s company instead.

He recalled: ‘We went up to Malibu and we went for a lovely dinner and it was like a date night. On the way back – it was like an hour drive home – we parked up and we said to each other, ‘That was actually our first proper date together.”

The TV star explained that the experience further solidified the belief that he and JoJo are the ideal match for each other.

JoJo revealed last month that she had ‘so many thoughts’ about marrying Chris.

Speaking to TMZ, JoJo said: ‘He is my favourite person in the world… It’s beautiful, it kind of radiates. He’s my favourite person and I am very grateful and very happy.’

The former Nickelodeon star also rubbished suggestions that the pair’s romance was merely a ‘PR stunt’.

She told The Guardian newspaper: ‘Clearly, you’ve never been around us. I won’t ever speak for him, but for me personally, the happiness in my life just radiates off of me right now. Literally yesterday, I was massaging my cheeks; I’ve never [before] been in pain from smiling so much.’

However, JoJo does understand why others are intrigued that she and Chris are together.

She said: ‘People can see our chemistry, and they got to see it develop. I think everyone’s just curious, and I can’t blame them.’
