OZZY Osbourne “knew his days were numbered” when he performed his historic final gig, his rock star pal has claimed.
The Black Sabbath star’s death came just weeks after he took to the stage one final time with his band mates in Birmingham.
The legendary rocker died at the family mansion in Buckinghamshire with his wife Sharon, 72, and four of his six children by his side.
Ozzy’s death was announced on Tuesday following the star’s brave battle against Parkinson’s disease.
Only three weeks ago, Ozzy gave us one last hurrah when heavy metal royalty descended on Villa Park to pay their respects.
Earlier this month, the rock legend arrived on stage in Birmingham, dressed in his trademark black, in what was his last ever performance.

The Back to the Beginning gig ended with him – seated on a giant black bat throne because he could not stand – joining his old bandmates on the songs that took him to the world stage.
Now, Megadeath founding member David Ellefson, who performed at the Villa Park gig, revealed that the after party felt like a “wake” with Ozzy as the main attraction.
Ellefson claimed that Ozzy “knew his days were numbered” during his farewell gig.
Speaking on the Sirius XM Ozzy’s Boneyard all day tribute radio show, he said: “It really felt like this was the celebration of life before this inevitable day that happened right?
“Because Ozzy knew it, right? We’ve seen the videos online. He knew his days were numbered.”
He also praised Sharon for organising for him to take part in the show so “the world could say goodbye” to Ozzy.
Ellefson continued: “And God bless Sharon for just keeping it going and giving him something to look forward to.
“The fact that he got to say goodbye, the fact that we all got to say goodbye to him.
“Because we knew this day was coming. This isn’t as shocking as it is – we knew it was coming.”
Ellefson, who had toured many times with Ozzy, described the Brummie icon as “the Elvis of heavy metal”.
He added: “In my opinion, not trying to be morbid. I’m being celebratory here. We got to have the celebration of life before he passed.
“I mean, what a beautiful thing.”
The bassist and songwriter of Megadeth went on to say that Ozzy showed signs of nerve damage from Parkinson’s disease with his leg shaking, but was fully “coherent” during his farewell.
The crowd was delighted to see the iconic rocker back on stage this month and kept chanting his name.
Ozzy was equally thrilled to be performing, and repeatedly broke out into a massive grin in what was his last hurrah.
After the show Ozzy watched on as his daughter Kelly was proposed to by her boyfriend Sid Wilson.
The icon vowed, however, that it would be his final performance due to his deteriorating health, having opened up about his battle with Parkinson’s in 2020.
Ozzy was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease back in 2019 and went public with his diagnosis the following year.
Ozzy became known as the “Prince of Darkness” in his six-decade career thanks to his on-stage antics that attracted a legion of heavy rock fans.
The legend cemented his place in rock history early in his career with controversial displays such as biting the head off a bat.
Black Sabbath have sold more than 75million records since forming in 1968, while Ozzy has also released 13 solo albums.
In 1970, the group gained a cult following in both the US and UK after releasing their eponymous first album.
The group later became known as Black Sabbath and went onto shatter the music world with their whining guitar solos, Occult-based lyrics and Ozzy’s screeching vocals.
