On Wednesday, Lohan Instastoried side-by-side snaps of herself at age 15 and 38 wielding an electric guitar to perform with Anna’s fictional band Pink Slip.
‘That punk Anna, she’s still there,’ the Old Navy brand ambassador told Empire Magazine on Tuesday.
‘The second I started with my guitar coach again, it was like we never left. It was the same guitar, everything. It was like it was yesterday. We made [the new song] more difficult for this one. I’m such a perfectionist. We rehearsed a lot.’
The supernatural comedy marks Lindsay’s first theatrically released leading role in 18 years as well as her potential comeback as a box office draw after overshadowing her acting career with six court-ordered rehab stints and other Hollywood wild child antics.
Freakier Friday also features Mark Harmon, Chad Michael Murray, Vanessa Bayer, Chloe Fineman, Stephen Tobolowsky, June Diane Raphael, and Elaine Hendrix.
Lohan’s other upcoming projects include a beauty brand, Hulu drama series Count My Lies based on Sophie Stava’s new novel, and a fully-authorized biopic on Ann-Margret.
