Spencer Pratt reveals the real reason he didn’t attend longtime friend Brody Jenner’s wedding

The Hills star Brody Jenner tied the knot with longtime girlfriend Tia Blanco over the weekend, though one of his reality co-stars was not present: Spencer Pratt.

Jenner, 41, tied the knot at his mother Linda Thompson’s Malibu home on Saturday, with the couple welcoming somewhere between 60 and 70 guests.

Pratt, also 41, and his wife Heidi, 38, were not among the wedding guests, which made some fans curious.

He shared a video on Saturday of his kids Gunner and Ryker, which was captioned, ‘Going to the in-laws’ as the boys were dancing to Disco Lines and Tinashe‘s No Broke Boys, with Spencer recording the video while his wife Heidi drove.

A fan named Mary asked, ‘Why aren’t you at Brody’s wedding?’ which Spencer decided to answer with a new post.

He shared a photo of him in a light brown tie-less suit with matching sneakers, posing with his boys, revealing that he had another wedding to attend.

‘At Heidi’s sister’s wedding. Holly had her wedding same time,’ Pratt explained in the post.

Pratt did share a post from People about the Jenner-Blanco wedding on Sunday morning, on his Instagram story.

He also shared what appeared to be an aerial shot from a drone or a helicopter of Jenner kissing his new bride, with a bit of a joke.

‘@brodyjenner I didn’t call the helicopter’ with a cry-laughing emoji, which Jenner took in good stride.

He then shared Pratt’s post, adding four cry-laughing emojis of his own, on his Instagram story on Sunday.

Both Pratt and Jenner’s first forays into the world of television was the short-lived Fox series The Princes of Malibu, starring Brody and Brandon Jenner, when they both lived in Malibu with their mother Linda and her then-husband David Foster.

Pratt appeared as Brody’s friend in the show, sometimes billed as his, ‘manager/publicist/agent/stylist,’ though the six-episode show was canceled by Fox after just two episodes.

A year later, MTV launched a spin-off of Laguna Beach dubbed The Hills, originally focusing on Laguna Beach star Lauren Conrad.

'At Heidi's sister's wedding. Holly had her wedding same time,' Pratt explained in the post.

The show ultimately expanded to feature Conrad’s roommate Heidi Montag – who would go on to marry Pratt in 2008 – and their friend Audrina Patridge, Whitney Port, Lo Bosworth and Spencer’s sister Stephanie.

Brody had a recurring role from the second season through its sixth and final season of the MTV series.

They all returned for The Hills: New Beginnings, which debuted in 2019 and featured most of the original cast of The Hills (sans Conrad) with the additions of Mischa Barton and Brandon Thomas Lee, the son of Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee.

The show ran for two seasons before it was ultimately canceled by MTV.
